Happy Mother’s Day mamas!

I’ve been going through a pretty hard time recently and have decided to make some major changes to my life. There’s been some inspirational mamas that have helped me through this without even realising so today is the day to celebrate them and all mamas out there who do an amazing job.

The first inspirational mama is my beautiful mama. She’s the woman I get my independence and confidence from. She’s always taught me if I want something doing then do it myself. She’s taught me to not wait around for things to happen, to get on and do it for myself. She’s made me believe in myself, no matter what I wanted to do she’s made me feel that I can do it.

I can’t mention my mum without mentioning my nan. She’s the one we get it from! My nan is amazing, she’s the life and soul of a party. The first one on the dance floor and the last one off it. To my nan family is everything, she always took us on holiday as kids, spent so much time and love on us. I love that when me, my sister my mum & nan get together we’re like a group of teenagers laughing and joking and having the best time.

Leading me on to my beautiful sister She really is one inspirational mama. She’s had it hard the past few years, suffering domestic abuse from a horrible excuse for a man. She was incredibly brave to press charges which resulted in him going to prison even though he tried to intimidate her. She has come through it a much stronger person, determined to change her life and give her kids a completely new start.

She’s moved counties to be near me to make a fresh start. She’s created a beautiful home for her & the kids and has even supported me with my business when work got too much for me with dealing with Archie’s Autism. She’s worked so hard to retrain as a cake decorator to take over the day to day running of Handmade Queen of Cakes and I am so, so proud of her.

My sister in law Leigh-Anne does an amazing job being a mama to my niece & nephew. My gorgeous nephew also has special needs and it is a hard job but she’s a lioness with those kiddies.

Jodie is one of my close friends who has also made a life changing decision. She’s also launching her own business to enable her to work around her kids. I know how big of a step this is for her, but she’s pushed her fears aside and gone for her dreams. She’s such a talented photographer that I know her business will be a huge success, I’m so proud of her.

If you’re in the Manchester/Oldham area you really need to pop over to her Facebook page.

I was a little unsure whether to include my next inspirational mama as she has no idea I’m going to include her here but I wanted to give a special mention to Mim from mamamim.com. The strength she’s shown in her fight with cancer is incredible. I’m in awe of her writing, how honest and positive she is. Even though she is fighting & winning her battle and undergoing chemo she’s still raising awareness, educating & inspiring other people. She’s amazing! If you haven’t read her blog then you really should.

I need to give a little mention to Vicki from HonestMum.com. She’s an amazing blogger and such supportive blogger. Without realising it she’s really helped build my confidence in my blog and writing and inspired me to make blogging my career.

Last but not least I need to give a special mention to a group of inspirational mamas, the autism mamas that have supported me through Archie’s journey so far. That have given me invaluable advice. That have pulled me out of a few dark holes and have shown me there if most definitely light at the end of the tunnel. There’s too many to mention individually but you ladies know who you are.

To all mamas, you are amazing!
