The blog has been a little neglected for the past few weeks as I’ve been so busy working on our house, redecorating, organising & decluttering. Running my business Handmade Queen of Cakes from home plus the blog means I spend a lot of time in the house. I like my home to be organised & tidy but not so for my desk! I don’t even use my desk at the moment instead working on the laptop from the kitchen.

I need my laptop out during the day when I’m working on cakes for picture references, instant access to orders etc so in the evening when it comes to blogging then I just stay sat at the breakfast bar and work away instead of moving into the lounge where I have my bureau set up in the alcove.

I really need to organise my desk & actually work from my desk instead of the kitchen. What about you? Do you agree with this infographic from Furniture at Work? What is your workspace like?

    Really interesting stuff Toni! I don’t actually have a designated working space, but hopefully will when we move home at some point soon. If I did I’m sure it would be ‘organised chaos’ just like the rest of my life… well ok maybe not so organised! 🙂

    I love a good info graphic! And funny to see what different people prefer. I have a lovely new desk but day to day it’s either piled high and then I have a cull and it’s empty. It actually doesn’t effect my work either way but I prefer it when the room is tidier! Thanks for linking up to #TheList xx
